About
Built from a mistake. Operated through a system.
DEVIS turns judgment that was paid for the hard way into a method that repeats — so the next person does not have to learn it the same way.
Origin
Built for the moment before trust becomes exposure.
DEVIS was founded by Gavin Nathan after years around investigations, intelligence work, and high-stakes commercial decisions where the wrong read on a person, company, or transaction could carry real cost. The platform was built around a simple discipline: test the story before the client is too exposed to ask the harder questions well. DEVIS does not assume bad faith. It assumes that serious decisions deserve structured evidence before trust, momentum, relationships, and ambition carry the matter too far.
Founder background
Judgment shaped by high-stakes work.
Gavin Nathan’s work spans intelligence, investigations, transactions, private markets, capital strategy, and founder-led business building — including currently building the first Swiss hybrid bank (blockchain, crypto, and fiat-compatible — 3 rails, 1 platform) and recognition with the Sunday Times Supplier of the Year award (Silver, UK Estate & Letting Agents). DEVIS reflects that combined lens: how people behave under pressure, how commercial narratives are constructed, and where exposure sits when it has not yet been connected to the decision. DEVIS was built for the moments before, between and within formal diligence lanes — where important evidence may exist but has not yet been connected to the transaction decision.
Method
The discipline does not depend on one person being in the room.
DEVIS is structured as a repeatable method: five connected lenses, evidence qualification, specialist pressure-testing, transaction-consequence mapping, a six-part report and Ask DEVIS. The purpose is consistency — every sprint answers the same institutional questions: what decision is being made, what exposure has surfaced, how strong the evidence is, what it affects, what should be asked next, and what a strong or weak answer would reveal.

Trust should sit in the method, not in one person’s memory of being wrong.
Founder judgment may create a company. It cannot be the company’s operating model. DEVIS was built so the discipline lives in the system: structured inputs, defined lenses, evidence qualification, consequence mapping, and consistent output. The result is a platformised exposure-intelligence process that can support professional decision-making without requiring the founder to be personally present in every read.
In his own words
Why DEVIS exists.
The founder’s letter explains the commercial pain behind DEVIS: how capable people rationalise risk when they want the opportunity to be real, and why trust should not be asked to carry what evidence has not yet supported.
