The Platform

One Connected Exposure Engine Across the Record.

DEVIS reads evidence across the people, companies and structures behind a transaction, finds the connections no single lane reconciles, and states the consequence each one carries.

Designed to run before, alongside or within professional diligence.

Where We Look

Sixty public sources, named. Not “proprietary data.”

Every source below is a public or lawfully accessible record. We name them because a finding you cannot trace is a finding you cannot use.

01

Companies and ownership

Companies House and the PSC register, OpenCorporates, OpenOwnership, GLEIF, SEC EDGAR, Zefix (Switzerland), Handelsregister (Germany), RCS (France), BORME (Spain), Brønnøysund (Norway), RIK (Estonia), ACRA (Singapore), ABN Lookup (Australia), NZBN and the New Zealand entity, disqualified-director and insolvency registers, Texas Secretary of State and other US state registries.

02

Sanctions, exclusions and integrity

OFAC, the EU, UK, UN and SECO sanctions lists, the US Consolidated Screening List, OpenSanctions, World Bank debarment, SAM exclusions, FATF, Interpol, FBI and DOJ announcements, ICIJ offshore leaks, LittleSis, Wikidata PEP screening and AML screening.

03

Courts, insolvency and property

PACER and CourtListener, The Gazette, UK Land Registry, insolvency registers and litigation records.

04

Political, country and public money

GDELT, ACLED, V-Dem, Freedom House, the Corruption Perceptions Index, World Bank governance indicators, FEC filings, US Senate lobbying disclosures and USAspending.

05

Digital and corroborating trace

WHOIS and RDAP, certificate transparency, the Wayback Machine, VIES VAT validation, patent and ORCID records, EPA enforcement, and independent web search across more than one engine.

Coverage varies by jurisdiction and by subject. Where a source has nothing on a subject, the report says so. An empty result is recorded, not quietly dropped.

More Than One Mind

Five independent models. And one whose only job is to attack the work.

A single model has a single set of blind spots. So no sprint is left to one. Claude Opus leads the analysis, with Claude Sonnet, Mistral Large and Gemini working alongside it, and GPT-5 reviewing the assembled deliverable as an independent devil’s advocate from outside the primary family.

Where the models converge, confidence is high and the report says so. Where they diverge, the report publishes the divergence — what one found that another missed, and by how much they disagreed. Suppressing that would make the document look more certain than the evidence deserves.

Model versions are tracked and promoted deliberately rather than floating on a moving alias, so a report is reproducible and the reasoning behind it is never quietly swapped underneath you.

A report that cannot show where it argued with itself is a report asking to be taken on faith.

From Finding to Transaction Effect

A Finding Matters Only When Its Consequence Is Understood.

DEVIS does not stop at identifying an inconsistency, relationship or adverse signal. Material findings are examined against the transaction in front of the firm and its client.

A consequence lands somewhere. Usually here:

  • Valuation
  • Forecast confidence
  • Financing
  • Covenants
  • Ownership and control
  • Deal structure
  • Negotiation leverage
  • Integration
  • Reputation
  • Timing
  • Decision readiness

The report keeps the finding and its consequence visibly apart. A consequence is what a finding could do, not a prediction that it will.

Evidence Before Assurance

The Platform Must Be Able to Show Its Basis.

Every material finding should carry a clear relationship to its supporting record, its evidence strength, its limitations and any unresolved questions.

DEVIS is designed to make the basis of the analysis visible rather than asking the user to accept unsupported conclusions.

  • Evidence citations
  • Source references
  • Audit history
  • Engagement permissions
  • Tenant isolation
  • Report access
  • Ask DEVIS answer grounding

Clear Boundaries

Not a Replacement for Diligence. Not an AI Summary.

Not a report stack

DEVIS connects findings across lanes rather than creating another isolated lane.

Not a generic summary

DEVIS does not merely compress existing documents. It looks for relationships, gaps, contradictions and consequence signals.

Not a final verdict

DEVIS does not tell the firm or client whether to proceed. It supports the professionals responsible for that judgment.

Not a substitute for specialists

Legal, financial, commercial, operational and technology advisers remain responsible for their respective work.

Not a standalone people product

People-related exposure runs within Company and Deal Sprints. There is no Person Sprint.

Where DEVIS Fits

Different Tools Answer Different Parts of a Transaction.

A data room controls the information flow. A valuation platform models value. Risk-intelligence tools investigate people and entities. Advisory firms perform specialist diligence.

DEVIS connects evidence across those lanes and shows what the combined exposure may mean for the transaction.

What that looks like

Financial review

The accounts were audited and signed off. Correct.

Background check

No adverse record for the finance director. Correct.

Read together, the timeline may not hold. The accounts were signed off before the finance director credited with them was appointed.

Neither report is wrong. The connection is the issue.

DEVIS is not a replacement for these tools or services.

It runs before, alongside or within professional diligence — adding one repeatable layer where the connections between separate workstreams matter.
